A play-based curriculum is widely considered to be the most appropriate vehicle for young children’s learning. Research tells us that active learning brings about a wealth of opportunities for children to become involved and engaged with learning, developing their language, social-emotional, creative thinking and coordination skills.
The preschool staff believe that children learn, grow and develop to their full potential when they are in an environment that encourages, supports, challenges and provides numerous opportunities for active learning.
The children are valued and respected as competent and capable learners. Their curiosity, emotional wellbeing, enthusiasm and love of learning are continually encouraged. Through active learning, children observe, ask questions, reflect on their actions and engage in meaningful, self-directed activities, supported by highly qualified and experienced early childhood professionals.
